On February 26th 2026, between 2:23pm and 2:36pm EST, a small subset of users experienced elevated errors when using product lookup features, such as search. These users received incorrect "Permission denied" errors even when they were assigned sufficient permissions.
The team identified the root cause as a misconfiguration of the new ReBAC system, specifically when users had conflicting permissions assigned. Under these conflicts, the system was unable to determine access.
We have modified our ReBAC implementation to resolve these permission conflicts reasonably.
